Bonnington House Nursery and Pre-School is a family owned and managed day nursery, opening in Edinburgh in late 2011, offering a home from home for children aged 3 months to 5 years. We have over 18 years experience in Early Years Education and aim to establish a reputation for providing excellent care and education. We provide a friendly and child-centred approach to childcare, based in a professional, stimulating and loving environment.
Our nursery is securely located in a beautiful Georgian property within a large, tree-lined garden, on the edge of Victoria Park in Trinity, north Edinburgh. The building´s interior and gardens have been architecturally designed to create a spacious and stimulating learning environment that meets all the needs of growing children. The location offers easy access with safe drop off facilities, parent parking spaces, free on-street parking, and close proximity to the main bus routes in and out of the city.
We are situated next to Trinity Primary School and close to Fort Primary School and Holy Cross RC Primary School. At Bonnington House Nursery we aim to compliment and support the community spirit and education of the schools and we will work in partnership with Edinburgh City Council to ensure continuity of care and learning for all our children.
Opening Hours
The Nursery is open Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The Nursery is closed between Christmas and New Year (dates of closure for 2011-2012 are 24 Dec to 3 Jan inclusive).
The Nursery is also closed on the following public holidays: Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day, Victoria Day and August Bank Holiday.

A Little bit of History of Bonnington House
The property, originally known as Bonnington House, comprises a two storey Grade C (S) listed Georgian house retaining many original features constructed in 1789 and extended and re-ordered in late 19th Century. The property has been used as a Children’s Centre for many years. Ground floor accommodation includes a fine entrance hall with staircase and metal balustrade, excellent example of a semi-circular wood paneled room to the rear, through room and five other rooms including a large fitted kitchen. First floor accommodation includes semi-circular room with feature buffet bar, large through room and seven other rooms. The property benefits from a large, mature, tree lined garden.
